The magazine has used bright, primary colours as children are more attracted to brighter colours. The front cover is very simple. It uses children on the cover, because it shows that children their age are doing things and may encourage to want to do it, they also look happy which will help. Both girls and boys are on it to show that cooking is not just for girls. There is also very little writing, as children can't read lots of information, or wouldn't understand it if it was written in a magazine for an adult. They also have simple and easy recipes because children will only be able to do basic things and if its too complicated or takes too long they wouldn't enjoy it or would lose interest in it.
